IT

The IT department for Corporate Express is based at the company's head office in Birmingham and provides support and development for the company's front office systems, back office systems, WAN, LAN and PC's. The ongoing support and development of the back and front office systems is critical to the operation and success of the business.

The IT department is split into 2 sections, each consisting of several teams. The support section operates a help desk, a 24x7 shift based operations team and first and second line support. The development section consists of front office development specialising in E-Commerce and EDI developments and a back office development team looking after the company's in house developed ERP system. We have a range of Sun, IBM and various Intel based servers to support our front and back office systems with the main systems running on the Progress and Oracle database systems.
