Apprentice - Groundworker

We’re excited to announce that applications to join our Groundworker Apprenticeship are now open!

The apprenticeship starts in October 2025 and in this exciting 18 month ‘hands-on’ practical programme you will learn about segregation of works, locating and protecting utilities and excavations, through the Highways Maintenance Level 2 programme.

On-site you will learn about clearing and setting up sites ready for construction, digging and excavating, safe operation and maintenance of tools and equipment such as surveying equipment, pneumatic drills, trenchers.

As part of your apprenticeship, you will attend block release training with your apprentice colleagues at the CITB campus located at Bircham Newton in Norfolk – don’t worry, we’ll cover your travel, food and accommodation costs!

Most of our work is located in London so as part of your programme, you could be based on a number of different sites to ensure you gain the skills and knowledge towards your apprenticeship.

You will also receive yearly salary increases in line with your time on programme and EPA completion.

You must be at least 18 and have lots of enthusiasm, motivation, a great attitude and an eagerness to learn, along with a desire and happiness to work outside in all weather conditions (we’ll provide protective clothing).
