We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Operations Manager to join us, as we embark on the AMP8 five-year investment cycle with Anglian Water.

This is a unique chance to be involved one of the UK's largest main-laying programmes, spanning 1.4 million metres.

The Role:

You’ll oversee a team of Delivery Agents, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining high standards for quality, sustainability, and cost control. Working closely with Engineers, Network Partners, and internal teams, you’ll drive efficiency, innovation, and continuous improvement. Your expertise in construction and commercial awareness will be vital in managing site-based activities and optimizing delivery outcomes.

Here are some of the activities you will be involved in:

• Lead and manage Delivery Agents and suppliers.
• Oversee team performance, training, and development.
• Ensure health & safety compliance and conduct audits.
• Manage project costs, risks, and resource allocation.
• Ensure timely, high-quality project delivery within regulations.
• Drive innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain customer satisfaction (VSAT 96%+) and achieve KPIs.

We would love to hear from you if…

You have at least five years of experience in the construction or utility sector, strong commercial awareness, and reasonable written, numerical, and computer skills. A full UK driver’s licence is essential.

Key qualifications include NRSWA Supervisors, First Aid at Work, SMSTS (or equivalent), EUSR Water Hygiene, Cat & Genny, and deep excavation experience. Additional training in Temporary Works Coordination, CDM, and LOLER is required.

A Project Management qualification and experience in business development, strategy, and balancing service delivery with solutions are desirable.
