We would love to hear from you if… You hold a Civil Engineering Degree, HNC/ONC qualification, or equivalent. Chartered status with a recognised body such as ICE, CIOB, CIHT, or APM is desirable, as is a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA). Its important to have experience as a Business Development Manager in the civil engineering sector, ideally with a background in bid teams or business development roles that involve promoting and influencing clients. A solid understanding of civil engineering and contracting practices and the business development and bid process is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software and familiarity with social media tools for business development is important. Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills are key, along with the ability to coach and mentor others. The role requires a strategic thinker with initiative, creativity, and the ability to build relationships and understand market needs. Additionally, you must have a full valid UK driver’s licence.
