As a P6 Planner, your role will be instrumental with supporting the planning team in the development and execution of energy type projects ranging from substation schemes to cable route schemes. The programmes you work on will run through different stages of the project lifecycle ranging from Preconstruction through to Handover.

The Role:

Reporting to the Contract Management Team the Project Planner will produce individual project schedules as well as manage the overall programme, ensuring that individual projects meet their specific outcomes in consideration of the know constraints. They will be responsible for liaising with the client design team as part of the programme development process.

Here are some of the activities you will be involved with:

  • Deliver works as instructed under the Professional Services Contracts effectively providing early contractor involvement for the mains laying programme of works.
  • Work with the commercial team and construction managers to establish, update and maintain project schedules and programmes.
  • Liaise with Clancy and client teams (design, consents, engineering, construction and commercial), subcontractors, suppliers on matters relating to planning and programming.
  • Proactively liaise with Construction Managers (and third party agents) to ensure that the most effective programme strategy is followed at all times.
  • Assess resource requirements based on current and forecast programme workloads and provide regular resource reports to the management team.
  • Provide draft project programmes to help design development and upfront project planning.
  • Provide programme information for inclusion in the contract KPI/Dashboard and monthly reporting requirements.
  • Prepare reports on programme and progress, attending both internal and external monthly planning meetings and weekly operational progress meetings.
  • Prepare, update, maintain and communicate the Project Contract Programmes for acceptance on Main Works Contracts.

We would love to hear from you if…

You have a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field. Proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities are key qualities we are looking for.

Additionally, proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is required. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role, as is the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. Above all, we seek individuals with a passion for infrastructure, engineering, and project planning.
