We are looking for an experienced SHEQ Advisor to join our innovative alliance with Anglian Water (Integrated Maintenance and Repair Water Recycling Alliance).
IMR WRA provide the best water recycling, by maintaining existing assets and undertaking new projects, that safeguard future water recycling asset health.
Within the Alliance’s remit is planned and emergency sewer works, rising mains and SMART technology installation, as well as maintenance and repair.

The Role

You’ll be providing specialist advice, to enable managers, employees and partner contractors to comply with all aspects of CDM, health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and practices.
As this role will be regional there will be a requirement to travel to Huntingdon, Peterborough, Norwich, Corby, Lincoln and Southend

Here are some of the activities that you'll get involved with...

  • Provide expert, timely, cost effective and practicable advice/guidance, ensuring legislative compliance and high moral standards
  • Support and influence front line managers and staff to understand and adhere to CDM regulations and that they are consistent with current legislation and industry best practice
  • Monitor compliance with Anglian Water & Alliance procedures in the workplace, and review safety and environmental performance
  • Develop policies, standards, procedures and instructions to achieve best practice in safety & environmental performance
  • Keep up to date with relevant legislation and current developments/trends in the field to keep us on the front-foot in terms of safety practices
  • Provide support and visibility for the SHEQ team ensuring lessons are learnt and successes are celebrated, by working in a collaborative environment.

We'd love to hear from you if you can demonstrate...

A NEBOSH qualification, a good knowledge of CDM standards and proven experience of conducting or supporting incident/near miss investigations is essential.
We’ll be looking for you to demonstrate an innovative approach to problem solving, underpinned by a thorough understanding of current HSE legislation.
