We’re looking to recruit a Mains Laying Team Leader to join us working on Thames Water framework, leading a team delivering clean water mains laying and renewal works. This is a hands-on supervisory role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, leading from the front, and taking pride in safe, high-quality delivery. You’ll be responsible for coordinating daily activities, setting your team up for success, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and in line with Thames Water and Clancy standards. We would love to hear from you if… You have proven experience leading mains laying or utilities teams within a clean water environment, with a strong understanding of water mains installation standards and safe working practices. You’ll be confident organising site activities, managing crews, and maintaining high levels of safety and quality on site. A full, clean UK manual driving licence is essential, along with NRSWA Supervisor accreditation. Experience using CAT & Genny, strong health and safety awareness, and familiarity with underground services are required. Tickets such as CPCS/NPORS for relevant plant, CSCS, and other utilities safety qualifications are highly desirable. You’ll be a positive, practical leader with good communication skills, comfortable working in all weather conditions, and motivated to develop your team while delivering right-first-time results.
