Conference and Banqueting Bar Team Leader
The Grand Ballroom is the jewel in our crown, and alongside our collection of meeting rooms, it offers a dynamic and exciting place to work.
As Conference and Banqueting Team Leader you will bring your personality and flair to provide a warm, friendly and generous service to our guests. The guest journey is paramount, so you'll know how to deliver fantastic experiences for our guests, time and time again.
This role is for 32 hours per week spread over 4 days
What you will do
• Motivate the team by leading from the front with confidence; being dynamic and positive at all times
• Aid management in directing and coordinating the activities of the C&B department to ensure the team is efficient and runs smooth operations in order to produce excellent feedback and guest satisfaction
• Undertake preparation works required within the Conference and Banqueting department, including room set ups, laying tables, moving furniture and equipment, preparing stock, polishing glasses and cutlery
• This will be a predominantly Bar led role
• Follow all steps of service, ensuring the focus remains guest-centric
• Having a visible floor presence, supporting team members to ensure that service levels are maintained to upmost standard.
• To conduct on-the-job training to team members, ensuring that this is documented and any concerns are escalated to management
• Be the link between management and team members; achieving true communication and team work
Ideal candidate
• Warm and genuine nature, someone who can make people feel at ease
• To be able to confidently, clearly and politely pass information to all guests
• Promote a positive attitude and display the ability to ‘make things happen’ to achieve or exceed anticipated results
• Highly customer-service oriented
• Previous experience in Food and Beverage Service as well as Bar Service is desired
• Due to the nature of the work, the ideal candidate would be fully flexible in their approach to work and be able to work shift patterns through weekdays and weekends
