    An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Meetings and Events person with some experience, either administration or operational, to join our Meeting and Events office team.
    The Meeting and Events team is key to our business as they are often the first point of contact many of our guests have with the hotel. As a Meeting and Events Co ordinator you will provide our guests with a personal reservations service for all meetings and events, large and small. As part of the team you will work both re-actively and proactively to sell the hotel and its facilities to potential guests.     As Meeting & Events Co-ordinator you will have...
• One years' experience in a meeting & events office or operations environment preferably in a quality hotel or event company with multiple meeting rooms
• Telesales experience with both re-active and pro-active sales skills
• Excellent Computer skills
• The ability to be self motivated with a passion for sales & achieving targets
• Excellent attention to details and great administration skills
• Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills with a professional manner
 
What will I be doing as Meeting & Events Co-ordinator?
• Dealing with and processing all enquiries for any conference and or function to be held within the Food and Beverage outlets, ensuring that clients needs are fully understood and met, whilst revenue & profits maximised
• Recording and processing all bookings, cancellations and amendments promptly in the M and E computer system (Events 500) ensuring the highest quality and standards are maintained in all of the information and printed material issued
• Communicating all clients’ needs through the publishing of weekly function sheets and amendments as appropriate providing consistent and effective communications with the hotels operational teams on a daily basis as well as during the weekly operations meeting.
• Filling in business gaps when the Food and Beverage outlets have not been booked.
• Taking bookings for accommodation and facilitating a smooth booking process in order to meet all clients needs
• Attending daily/weekly business meetings to co-ordinate the smooth operation of all departments
• Conducting show-rounds to all potential clients and facilitate the co-ordination of booking of the Food and Beverage outlets as well as the Rooms.
• Ensuring that all test calls/emails are handled in line with the company standards.
• To maintain client database and build relationships with existing meetings and events clients and successfully develop new clients.
