Our head offices based in the beautiful village of Hook Norton near Banbury. Here you will find our teams of finance, HR, purchasing, marketing & creative that support all of our locations across the Thomas Franks family. There is ample parking space available when visiting.

We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Administrator to join our award winning HR and Learning and Development team. You will be challenged with building relationships and providing HR administrative support and advice to line managers, senior managers, and Directors, who manage our locations. The HR Administrator will report to the Director of HR and will be based at our Head Office in Hook Norton in Oxfordshire. The role is a Hybrid role with part of your week based at one of our Oxfordshire locations with the team. 

The role will encompass the following key responsibilities: 

  • Build strong, professional relationships with employees and Senior Leaders from across the business.
  • Using HR information systems access, input, compile and effectively manipulate data.
  • Organise and maintain personnel records.
  • Manage the new starter and onboarding journey.
  • Update internal databases such as payroll.
  • Prepare HR documents, such as employment contracts and offer letters.
  • Liaise with external partners, such as mandatory training providers.
  • Answer basic employee queries about HR-related issues.
  • Assist payroll department by providing and inputting relevant employee information.
  • Participate in HR projects.
  • Working closely with other departments, execute and deliver HR processes.
  • Communicate effectively and build relationships with clients and ensure their requirements are met promptly.
  • Assist with occasional training and presentations, including the Managers Induction and TUPE and sales presentations when necessary.
  • Manage staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations.
  • Manage statutory Hygiene & Safety Training including Food Safety Level II & III, Health and Safety Level II& III and Child Safety Training where appropriate.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English) and able to articulate and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Professional and polite telephone manner.
  • Team working abilities, listening skills, the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Competent skills in the Microsoft suite including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Teams and Outlook or willing to learn.
  • Team player, but able to work autonomously and remotely if necessary.
  • Outstanding organisational, analytical and time management skills and ability to create effective processes and procedures.
