Our head offices based in the beautiful village of Hook Norton near Banbury. Here you will find our teams of finance, HR, purchasing, marketing & creative that support all of our locations across the Thomas Franks family. There is ample parking space available when visiting.

We are looking to appoint a Sales Director (South) to join our Thomas Franks Team, covering the southern region of the UK. You will be challenged with developing our brand in the South. Main responsibilities will include creating rapport with current and new clients, driving the development of new business, producing proposals and supporting new business from tenders to onboarding.

The role involves working directly to the Group Business Development Director and closely with the Senior Leadership Team and Business Development Team, building and developing current and future client relationships as part of the Thomas Franks growth & retention objectives. Our business has grown naturally in the UK and beyond and we need your support for that to continue.

The role will encompass the following key responsibilities: -

  • Working closely with current clients to maintain and enhance relationships and ensure Thomas Franks continues to deliver a client first service
  • Building new relationships with potential clients
  • Creating new opportunities to develop and expand the business
  • Secure new contracts with potential and existing clients

Essential requirements for the position: -

  • Have a strong understanding of both the independent school market and Business & industry market
  • The ability to build strong, professional relationships with current and potential clients
  • Have a genuine passion for fresh, locally sourced seasonal food and a commitment to sustainable environmental practices in the catering sector
  • Proven excellence in building strong relationships with drive and enthusiasm
  • Have experience of working at a senior level in either a business development or client facing role, ideally gained within a commercial and/or contract catering environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to articulate and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and use own initiative
  • Leadership skills but also a team player, able to work autonomously and remotely
  • To be able to work some evenings and weekends when required
  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures and Hubspot
  • Must be financially astute and be able to create budgets and costings primarily in Excel
  • Experience of MS Office and Outlook

Desirable experience required for the position: -

  • Experience of working in a multi-site/mobile/remote capacity or operations is an advantage
  • Operational experience is preferred
