
Boarders Chef

Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: CHF 60,000 per annum
Hours: 40 per week
A stunning ski-in, ski-out international boarding school, providing a world-class education in the Swiss Alps in Verbier. Catering for around 150 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and operates Monday to Sunday to work patterns are 5 over 7 days. Shift Timings are between 0700 - 2015.
We are looking for a talented Boarders Chef to join our team at one of our prestigious locations in Verbier.
Looking for a Strong foodie, commercially minded. You will lead a team to deliver Breakfast, lunch, snacks, hospitality and events. Someone to challenge and innovate.
You will need to have previous experience working within a high volume, fast-paced kitchen at either Sous Chef or a Senior Chef level. You will need to be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients & regularly changing bespoke menus which YOU create! You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset every day.
Key responsibilities:
- To manage a team of staff catering for the boarders at this school.
- To produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the companies brand standards
- Creating bespoke seasonal menus from regional and local suppliers
- Completing food costings as required
- Completing company bookwork
- A good understanding of Natasha's law
- Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
- Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.

Knowledge / competencies:
- Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
- Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
- Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
- Entitled to 20 days holiday pro-rata
- Statutory pension contributions
