A stunning B&I location in Cambridge for a UK-based aerospace company. Catering for approximately 400 people daily in the main restaurant, coffee shop and mobile catering van service. We offer breakfast, lunch and lots of high end hospitality. The role is a Monday to Friday operation.

We are looking for a Food Truck Operative to join our team at one of our prestigious operations in Cambridge.

You will ideally have previous experience of working within a fast-paced catering environment as a catering assistant or supervisor. This role involves a breakfast and lunch drop service.

Shift timings: 0630 - 1430

Working days: Monday to Friday

Role requirements (Task & Responsibilities):

  • Delivering food & required goods in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure the food served is to Thomas Franks standards.
  • Packing the goods in the delivery vehicle in an organised manner that matches the order in which the deliveries will be made
  • Ensuring required tasks at the base kitchen are completed.
  • Building positive relationships with the teams and managers in locations.
  • Doing regular maintenance checks on delivery vans and informing management of any issues
  • Interacting with clients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Processing cashless payments for items sold.
  • Working as an extension of the main kitchen and dining space.
  • Restock and replenish stocks and consumables as required during service periods, pre-empt customer needs and achieve optimum customer service delivery.
  • Keep the kitchen informed of any food running out and pre-empt any delays in customer waiting.
  • Operate cleaning equipment Properly.
  • Complete all / any necessary cleaning/hygiene duties.
  • Serve customers, visitors and guest in line with company and client service standards and expectations.
  • Empty, remove and store rubbish / recycle rubbish in the correct place.


Key personal skills and attributes:

  • Team working abilities, Listening skills, the ability to work on own initiative, impeccable personal presentation, hygiene and behaviour to others, Food hygiene certificate preferred.
  • The ability to be adaptable and be flexible as necessary. Reliable, Honest and able to demonstrate an open attentive approach to customer service.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take some responsibility.
  • Ability to manage some moderately heavy lifting, carrying, and pushing.

Knowledge / competencies:

  • Hold a level 2 food Hygiene qualification.
  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
  • Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred.
  • Clean Drivers licence is mandatory

General:

You will also positively represent the Company at all times along with being present in the workplace at critical times of service. To adhere to the completion of any company documentation pertaining health & food safety as required.

To attend and participate in any company or unit training required to perform your role to meet company standards.
