Job Description

As Regional Sales Executive – North, you’ll be at the heart of driving commercial growth across our Northern hotel portfolio, covering York and Scotland. This is a high-impact, field-based role where you’ll build relationships, open doors to new business, and grow revenue across our Corporate Transient, Corporate Group, and Leisure Group segments.

With a core focus on five hotel properties between York and Scotland, you’ll be the face of Splendid Hospitality Group in the region – out in the market, meeting clients, building partnerships, and championing our hotels to new and existing customers. Reporting to the Regional Director of Sales – North, you’ll play a key role in increasing market share and positioning our portfolio as the go-to choice for corporate and group business.

This role will involve regular travel between York and Scotland, supporting:
Hotel Indigo York, Hotel Indigo Edinburgh, ibis Styles York Centre, Holiday Inn Express York, and Holiday Inn Express Glenrothes.

Role in our Family

The Role:

Reporting to the Director of Sales (North), you will play a key role in driving revenue growth and expanding market share across our portfolio in the North Region. This is a hands-on sales role, ideal for someone who is proactive, confident, and passionate about building strong client relationships.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Winning New Business - Proactively identify, approach, and secure new corporate and group accommodation opportunities across the North.
  • Growing Existing Accounts - Develop strong relationships with current clients to increase repeat business and share of wallet.
  • Act as a Regional Ambassador - Represent Splendid Hospitality Group across York and Scotland, attending networking events, site visits, and industry functions.
  • Building Local Partnerships - Develop relationships across key sectors including construction, rail, education, public sector, sports, entertainment, and local venues.
  • Promoting Our Hotels - Confidently present and promote our portfolio, tailoring solutions to client needs and business objectives.
  • Cross-Selling Nationally - Drive additional revenue into other Splendid Hospitality Group properties across the UK.
  • Market Intelligence - Keep your finger on the pulse of competitor activity and local market trends to spot new opportunities early.
  • Hitting Targets - Own your sales KPIs and revenue goals, with the support of the wider commercial team.
  • CRM Excellence - Track activity and performance accurately using Salesforce, ensuring strong visibility of pipeline and results.

About You:

  • Motivated by exceeding goals and targets
  • A confident presenter, able to engage audiences authentically
  • Proactive and naturally inquisitive, with a passion for learning sales skills
  • Willing to travel for client meetings, site visits, and networking events
  • Hold a full, clean UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in the hotel sector
  • Experience delivering presentations to groups or clients
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce
