Job Overview


The Director of Sales leads the sales efforts across the hotel, focusing on acquiring and cultivating business from all segmentation and markets. This role involves close collaboration with the departments of revenue management, analytics, and reservations but also with key hotel functions, including operations, guest services, and events. The Director of Sales ensures that agreed sales strategies are seamlessly integrated into the overall hotel operations, enhancing both revenue and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to the local, national, global market, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
• Liaise closely with the revenue management, analytics, and reservations departments to ensure efficient use of systems like Opera, Delphi, Ideas STR and Hotelligence.
• Lead proactive and reactive sales efforts across local, national and global account sales, business travel, events, reservations, utilizing Hilton Branded systems, CRM (Monday.com) to manage and track business development.
• Collaborate with the marketing and regional teams to implement digital marketing campaigns using tools such as Google Analytics, and Meeting and Event platforms such as Cvent, Venue Directory, Venuefinder, Global DMC Partners, etc… to target event and group business.
• Work with revenue management to use benchmarking tools, such as STR, Demand 360, and other analytics tools to understand market trends and competitor positioning, adapting sales strategies to optimize revenue and market share.
• Manage budgets and create specific promotions and campaigns in collaboration with departments using tools like Ideas for financial planning and forecasting.
• Build strong partnerships with Corporate, Agents and to increase property visibility and attract clients.

 

Leadership & Team Development
• Lead a high-performing sales by setting clear goals in the form of KPIs and KPOs relating to the overall financial plan of the hotel.
• Foster a positive, inclusive team culture that encourages collaboration across the hotel departments, and larger company with key specialists like revenue management, sales, operations and analytics.
