We are looking for a strategic, creative, and results-driven Marketing Manager to lead and execute marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness, guest engagement, and revenue growth across our three Edinburgh hotels. In this role, you will develop and implement marketing strategies across multiple channels while ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Your role
As Marketing Manager you will support Axiom Hospitality Director of Marketing and hotel teams in defining and delivering the marketing strategy for the three hotels. This is an exciting opportunity to work across three international brands: Hilton, Marriott and IHG. The successful applicant will implement the strategic marketing plan for the hotels, including brand assets, digital, partnerships, creative and communications. Working closely with stakeholders to activate strategic marketing plans to drive strong ROI and measure performance across all aspects of the hotels: rooms, meetings and events, food and beverage and wellness.
The ideal candidate will have strong content skills and be a confident brand ambassador for the three hotels, meticulously following brand guidelines. They will be able to show evidence of strong social media content and campaigns and have a keen eye for detail, as well as being able to provide examples of strong copywriting skills. The candidate will demonstrate strong creativity and forward-thinking, and the ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Drive hotel’s full Marketing Strategy for the three hotels
- Manage hotel social media account strategy and content planning and posting
- Create online and printed collaterals meticulously in-line with brand standards
- Be a brand-guardian for the hotels, ensuring all assets and communication are in-line with brand standards and enforcing brand-alignment with wider hotel teams
- Partner with local suppliers and businesses and build relationships for cross-marketing
- Writing and proofreading creative copy
- Lead editorial requests and take ownership of media and influencer stays
- Managing production and performance of multimedia content
- Maintaining website and tracking data analytics
- Monitoring and allocating budgets
- Monitoring performance of marketing campaigns
- Conducting research and analysing data to identify and define audiences
- Evaluate and review marketing campaigns, advertising and SEO to make sure the correct mediums are being used and strong ROI
- Prepare monthly reports on Marketing activities with detailed performance statistics
- Organise and attend events and open days
- Understanding the wider hotel business and keeping up to date with the hotel’s commercial strategy and promotions
- Understand the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand
The core skills and experience required to succeed:
- Minimum 4 years Marketing experience in hotel or hospitality-related business
- BA Degree in Marketing, Hospitality or Business preferred
- Qualifications in Social Media and Digital Marketing preferred
- Demonstrates experience of developing detailed marketing plans and campaigns including project management skills, briefing, planning and execution
- Proven track record in brand alignment, creative campaigns and social engagement
- Demonstrates photography and visual content skills and flair
- Competence with design software such as Canva, InDesign and Photoshop
- Proven track record in copywriting with examples available to be provided
- Strong social media image and reel editing skills
- In-depth understanding of digital marketing and performance metrics
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of digital marketing techniques, including paid social media, application of social media channels, use of customer communication channels including email and website management. Solid understanding of development for dynamic websites and Content Management Systems.
- Ability to identify specific action steps, accountabilities and timelines for workload including able to hold self-accountable for achieving results
- Adaptability and ability to juggle multiple projects
- Demonstrates an eye for detail and experience of delivering high quality and professional marketing creative and written content, developed both internally and through the use of appropriate agency resources
- Gains the confidence and trust of others through their own authenticity, ethical standards and follow-through on commitments
- Strong organisation and planning skills
- Acts independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge
