General Assistant - Maternity cover - 20 hours per week

Salary: £12.44 per hour

We have a brilliant opportunity to work within a school environment; term time only and school friendly hours that suit a family lifestyle well.

Working with a brilliant team at The Spires Academy, Canterbury , you will join Culinera’s mission to feed the future tasty, healthy food. You will work in the school kitchen, supporting the chef to deliver lunch to our secondary school customers. We cook all of our food using fresh and raw ingredients; therefore you will be involved in food preparation, baking, serving at lunch time and washing up as directed by the Chef.

Most importantly you will work as part of a team to ensure lunch is delivered on time. You will be trained in the safe handling of food as well as H&S, Safeguarding and the best kitchen practices.

We like to work hard, and have fun. You will be on your feet for the full shift, so you need to be comfortable with this and be happy to up your step count! All we ask for is a can-do positive attitude. If you bring this, we can train and support you with the rest.
Experience working in a kitchen / food prep is beneficial but not necessarily essential - anyone can do this job and it is truly one of the best jobs in our company.

We offer NVQ training and apprenticeships if you would like to develop your skills.
