Founded in 1976 and situated in Tring, Hertfordshire, on the grounds of the Champneys Spa Resort, Champneys Beauty College has built a name as one of the UK's leading beauty therapy training colleges.

We are proud of our reputation for having an outstanding examination success rate, delivering consistently high standards. Our latest intake of students achieved a 100% pass rate in both their ITEC and CIDESCO practical examinations.

This role is 16 hours per week. 

• To teach to the high standards expected by Champneys Beauty College core values and awarding organisations.
• To prepare course material within predetermined timescales to meet the requirements of the course syllabus
• To ensure detailed scheme of work is in place prior to delivery allowing sufficient time for all aspects of course delivery.
• To produce relevant lesson plans
• To deliver course material in a professional and effective manner.
• To undertake lesson preparation and the marking/assessing of students’ assignments and practical work and ensuring group tracking is maintained and up to date.
• To identify individual learning needs and refer to learning support as appropriate
• To guide and assist students in the improvement throughout the course by completing learning logs, identifying areas of strength and area of improvement at each session for both practical and theory.
• To undertake tutorials.
• To produce flexible learning materials.
• To identify materials and equipment/ resource needs to assist the provision of teaching and learning by students.
• To ensure there is a complete, accurate and up-to-date class register.
• To ensure there are appropriate and up to date course files
• To monitor student attendance and punctuality and take appropriate action as required.
• To comply with any Health & Safety regulations and, in particular, be familiar with the procedure to be adopted in case of fire.
• To observe and actively promote equal opportunities policies in the classroom, in the syllabus and learning materials and in all relationships with the service.
• To ensure the security of both the classroom and any equipment borrowed or used within the classroom
• To comply with any reasonable request in relation to the teaching programme.
• To keep up to date with curriculum developments in the relevant subject area, undertaking short industrial placements as required.
• To ensure any CPD requirements by awarding bodies or by Champneys are met
• To supporting marketing events at Schools, careers events or professional exhibitions when required
