As a FF&E Administrator, you will support the interior designers by assisting in the coordination and management of furniture, fixtures, and equipment for interior design projects. This entry-level position is well-suited for a recent graduate in interior design who is eager to gain practical experience in the field.
Job Role:
- Assist in FF&E Selection: Work closely with interior designers to research and select furniture, fixtures, and equipment that align with design concepts and client requirements.
- Procurement Support: Aid in sourcing FF&E items from suppliers, obtaining quotes, and coordinating the procurement process under the guidance of senior team members.
- Budget Assistance: Contribute to the development and monitoring of FF&E budgets for projects, and assist in seeking cost-effective solutions while maintaining design quality.
- Vendor Communication: Liaise with vendors and suppliers to gather product information, obtain samples, and coordinate orders, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project schedules.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate records of FF&E specifications, purchase orders, and delivery schedules, as well as generating reports as required.
- Quality Assurance Support: Participate in inspecting FF&E items upon delivery to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications outlined in the design plans.
- Installation Coordination: Support the coordination of FF&E installation activities, including communicating with installation teams and contractors to ensure smooth implementation.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal design teams, providing support and assistance as needed, and fostering effective communication and collaboration.
Skills and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of interior design principles, materials, and finishes.
- Familiarity with design software and tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar programs is a plus.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
- Good verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and external partners.
- Eagerness to learn about FF&E procurement processes and industry best practices.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and take direction from senior team members.
