Located in the heart of Bristol's Old City, the hotel is right by the waterside, within easy walking distance of the prime cultural, business and shopping districts. This boutique style hotel includes 116 uniquely designed guest rooms. Not to be missed, is Buttermilk and Maple which offers relaxed, dining alongside aromatic coffee, craft beers and eclectic cocktails

There are also four versatile and modern function rooms each boasting panoramic, unobstructed views of the river. These can accommodate up to 85 delegates for meetings and 100 for receptions and social gatherings. Mercure Bristol Brigstow Hotel is also licensed to hold Civil Marriage and Partnership Ceremonies and help from the hotel's dedicated Wedding Planner is available.

The hotel is currently providing services an an excluisve use basis to a single client providing our great facilities to residents on a long-term stay basis.

Job Description

The key purpose of your role is to undertake a continuous program of planed painting and decorating to the internal and external property to ensure all guest rooms and public areas are presentable including painting and decorating of walls, grout and shower sealant, flooring and tiling. You will also be able to assist the hotel's lead maintenance technician with additional support to complete mainteance tasks as required.

Please note the role is part-time, 20-hours per week over 3 days.

Role in our Family

When working as a painting and decorating maintenance technician, your role will be to ensure the ongoing excellent presentation of the bedrooms and public areas of the hotel. You will also:

  • Undertake a range of painting and decorating tasks such as painting ceilings and wall, wallpapering and tiling
  • Assist the maintenance technician with other tasks like routine silicone replacement in bathrooms
  • Be able to work efficiently and independently to ensure bedrooms are promptly available working to set schedule
  • Undertake additional duties as may be reasonably requested.
