Right on the waterfront and next to the ExCel exhibition center, the hotel is only a 12 minute tube ride from Central London.
To proactively generate new business and grow revenue for the hotel by identifying, developing, and converting corporate, group, and event opportunities. The Director of Sales will actively prospect within the market, build strong client relationships, and work closely with internal teams to maximise occupancy, rate, and ancillary spend.

Key Responsibilities
Proactively generate new corporate, group, and meetings & events business.
Identify and convert new accounts through market research, networking, sales calls, site visits, and familiarisation trips, using tools such as Agency360.
Respond promptly to sales enquiries and convert opportunities into confirmed business.
Manage a personal sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and CRM tracking (Monday.com).
Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate accounts, agencies, TMCs, travel advisors, and event planners.
Grow existing accounts to maximise revenue and repeat business.
Conduct client meetings, hotel show rounds, and site inspections; represent the hotel at industry events.
Negotiate rates and contracts in line with commercial and pricing strategies.
Work closely with Revenue and Reservations to optimise pricing, availability, and yield.
Identify and deliver upselling opportunities across accommodation, meetings & events, and food & beverage.
Maintain market and competitor knowledge; provide regular sales activity and performance reporting.
Manage hotel listings and content across online sales platforms (e.g. Cvent, Venue Directory).
Collaborate with Operations, Events, and Front Office to ensure seamless delivery of confirmed business.
Act as a brand ambassador and support wider Sales & Marketing initiatives
Ideal Candidate
Essential
• Previous sales experience within hospitality, hotels, or a customer-facing commercial role.
• Proven ability to proactively generate new business and build strong client relationships.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability.
• Highly organised with excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of the corporate and hospitality market.
Desirable
• Minimum 7 + years of sales leadership experience in hospitality.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
• Proven success in repositioning or launching high-end properties.
• Strong network within travel, corporate, and event planning sectors.
• Exposure to MICE and group sales.
