KS Restaurants are looking for an Maintenance Manager to join their team. The successful Maintenance Manager will be hands on with a proven track record managing maintenance projects on a multi-site level. Ideally within Hospitality.

The Position

The In-house Maintenance Manager, reporting to the Operations Manager this is a hands-on and proactive maintenance position with

Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance of the group's 4 current restaurants with scope for further growth in the near future. You will manage a small team, carry out inspections, and ensure all maintenance issues are resolved efficiently from plumbing, electrical works, repairs to building fabric, and general facilities management.

Duties Include:

  • Coordinating the maintenance team and ensuring prompt attendance at sites for scheduled and emergency repairs.
  • Maintaining high standards of professionalism and ensuring all work is carried out with minimal disruption to restaurant operations.
  • Demonstrating excellent workmanship and ensuring all repairs are completed to a high standard.
  • Being hands-on and performing general handyman duties when required, including basic carpentry, painting, and repairs.
  • Managing a call-out system efficiently, tracking all maintenance requests and prioritising based on urgency and business impact.
  • Collaborating closely with restaurant managers and chefs to understand their needs and develop practical solutions to operational issues.
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing budget-conscious maintenance practices while maintaining quality standards.
  • Problem-solving complex maintenance issues and developing effective solutions.
  • Managing team schedules and ensuring efficient time management across all projects.
  • Developing team members through training and mentoring to expand their skill sets.
  • Working with suppliers and contractors to source materials and specialised services as needed, negotiating favourable terms.
  • Managing emergency repairs under pressure and tight timescales.
  • Implementing a preventative maintenance program across all locations.
  • Organising an on-call rota system for weekend & holiday coverage.
  • Overseeing planned maintenance tasks for key systems including refrigeration and air conditioning.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience managing a maintenance team, preferably in hospitality.
  • Technical qualification in either Commercial Electrical or Plumbing works is preferable.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • The ability to build effective relationships with contractors and managers.
  • Strong communication skills and English language proficiency.
  • Experience with budget management and cost control.
