A fantastic opportunity to join the Doubletree by Hilton, London Excel, to lead the operation of this 287- bedroom hotel. The hotel has exciting plans for the future and is looking for an ambitious and dynamic Operations Manager to be part of that journey.

Your role
Responsible for managing hotel operations on a day to day basis working with Heads of Department to achieve and exceed Revenue and Guest satisfaction targets and Team Member engagement.
Specifically, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Provide effective Operational leadership to the hotel management team and team members to ensure targets are met and exceeded;
- Plan, direct and coordinate the service delivery of all operational departments in order to meet and exceed guest expectations;
- Ensure Hilton SEP and QA targets are met and/ or exceeded, and Make it Right program is embedded;
- Ensure Health and Safety Audit targets are met and / or exceeded; Chair monthly Health and Safety Meeting in the absense of the General Manager;
- Ensure that operating costs and payroll are controlled throughout the operational departments;
- Seek and respond to Guest feedback in order to achieve positive outcomes and high levels of customer satisfaction;
- Conduct weekly Operations Meetings; lead daily morning meetings in absence of General Manager;
- Assist with Sales Hotel show rounds as required;
- Actively participate in hotel CARE program; attend and lead monthly CARE Meetings;
- Work in conjunction with the General Manager to manage projects in the hotel;
- Deputise in the absence of the General Manager.

To successfully fill this role, you must possess the following qualifications, attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve a high level of performance and exceed targets;
- Track record in being able to improve hotel customer service score; ability to drive standards in operational departments; ability to achieve operational consistency in Brand Standards.
- Passion for great customer service;
- Strong commercial acumen, with ability to manage and control budgets, costs and payroll;
- Develops management team and team members;
- Accountable and resilient with ability to work under pressure;
- Energetic, Positive, Can-do attitude; Good problem solver and organiser;
- Flexible and able to work evenings / weekends to meet the needs of business including Duty Management.
It would be advantageous, in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Previous experience in similar role in a Hilton property with strong track record with QA/ SEP results or similar full-service brand experience in one of leading brands demonstrating strong results.
- Knowledge of Hilton ONQ property management systems;
- Desire to progress to Hotel Manager / General Manager role in future.
