Calling all Late Night ‘Nightlife Aficionados’! As a Sweeties Bartender you will be part of our specialist bar team serving early evening sunset cocktails, through to late-night lounge and party vibes. Think floor-to-ceiling views across London, exceptional cocktails, and incredible music from an ever-evolving line-up of artists and DJs curated by our Music & Culture team.

Your role

As Sweeties Bartender you will be passionate about service with an exceptional knowledge of cocktails, bar operations and order of service, as well as a deep understanding of spirts, champagne, and quality wines to make recommendations to guests based on their preferences. A Sweeties Bartender creates and mixes a range of signature cocktails in addition to the classics, serves guests at the bar and on the floor, and assists with bar and specialist event set up. 

Finally, and most importantly, you will be a host, making our guests feel welcome whilst they visit The Standard and our energetic and vibrant city; so you will need to be highly social, upbeat and friendly; confident and can handle pressure well; thrive in a busy high volume, high energy environment and can manage multiple tasks and guests with ease.

‘Standard People’ are at the heart of our brand; dynamic, vivid, and engaging. Strong prior experience as a cocktail Bartender is essential for this role. You will also need…

• Prior experience as a Bartender ideally gained in a similar busy bar, ‘Lifestyle’ boutique hotel or destination cocktail bar
• Passion for cocktails, design, and service!
• Talent at delivering exceptional guest experience
• Confident knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, and a good understanding of the London bar scene
• Highly social, motivated and pro-active; excellent with guests and at building relationships with teams across the hotel
• Professional, positive, and polite in all interactions
• Organised and detail orientated, with a strong knowledge of bar operations and steps of service
• Prior experience using POS and Sevenrooms is advantageous
• Available 30-40 hours per week, Wed-Sat evenings (late night Thurs-Sat, 3am)
