We are defined by our richness of personality, diversity of background and lifestyle and are now looking for a Supervisor who will embody our ‘Anything but Standard’ ethos to join the team in Double Standard The Standard, London's busy ground floor bar and terrace.

Your role

As our Double Standard Bar Supervisor, you'll work alongside the Double Standard Manager to oversee an exceptional floor & bar team that provide an extensive food and drink service in this busy high-volume outlet; consisting of bar, restaurant, 2 external terraces and garden with a 150 capacity inside and further 50 in the Garden. You will oversee the daily operation and ensure everything runs smoothly, as well as coaching and developing the team and ensuring they receive the correct training.

Your exceptional knowledge of the latest trends in the London drinks scene will help you train and develop an experienced team who will not only delight our guests, but also excite and surprise them to create the ultimate bar experience in London, that is anything but Standard! You will also host our guests, regularly ‘touching tables’ conducting service checks; handling their requests, needs and inquiries, and most importantly getting to know them ensuring they leave with a smile on their face.

You will of course be passionate about service, with an exceptional working knowledge of high-volume bar operations and the order of service; along with a deep appreciation of quality wines, craft beers and spirts in order to guide and make recommendations to guests based on their preferences. You will be expected to maintain the company standards of hygiene, health & safety, and ensuring that your team does as well.

Do you have what it takes to be our Bar Supervisor in Double Standard?

While we take every detail of design and guest experience seriously, we do not take ourselves too seriously. ‘Standard People’ are at the heart of our brand; vivid, dynamic and engaging. You’ll intrinsically understand the unique microcosm and the context of our venues and city you represent.

• While prior experience as a Bar Supervisor is preferred, all are welcome at the Standard; you will have however an uncompromised and natural flair for service and be able to build genuine relationships with guests that enable us to not only pre-empt needs but foresee desires. In addition to this you will also need….
• A proven track record in a similar Supervisory, Team Leader or Head Waiter / Bartender role with the ability to inspire and motivate a team, ideally gained in a similar ‘Lifestyle’, destination restaurant or boutique hotel sector
• Highly motivated and pro-active; act with professionalism and positivity in all interactions
• Ability to develop and deliver effective training to maintain consistent service standards throughout your team
• Experience with Simphony POS, Seven Rooms, OpenTable and Fourth HR is advantageous
