
Assistant Banquet Manager
Contract: Permanent
Salary: $75,000 per year + great benefits


We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Banquet Manager to oversee event planning and execution, ensuring seamless coordination from start to finish.
You will work closely with clients, manage banquet functions, and communicate event specifics to all relevant teams. Leading and motivating the banquet team, you will ensure top-tier service through training and task delegation. Customer satisfaction is paramount, requiring exceptional guest service and quick problem-solving. You will also manage inventory, collaborate with other departments, and uphold health and safety standards. Administrative responsibilities include payroll, budgeting, and reporting.

Specific knowledge, skill and ability:
- 1 - 2+ years’ experience in F&B Operations, Banqueting, preferably within the hospitality field.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Experience in luxury hotel operations is preferred.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Spanish or other language skills would be a plus.
- Strong Computer literacy to include Microsoft Office Suite and Internet, Opera Cloud, and performance management systems.
- Problem solving and Action Plan formulation skills.
- Energy and enthusiasm to motivate and engage others.
- Integrity, confidentiality, and approachability.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Requires high levels of interaction with all members of staff. Exchanging ideas, information, and opinions with others to formulate programs and arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions, and solutions.
- Ability to interact effectively with employees and external customers, including those who may require a thoughtful approach, patience, and diplomacy to address concerns, resolve conflicts, and gather accurate information.
- Visual ability to observe employees in the workplace, assess operations, and identify areas of concern related to employee performance, grooming, training, policy adherence, and overall conduct.
