Catering & Outlet Sales Manager

Contract: Permanent
Salary: $70,000 to $80,000

The Dupont Circle is seeking a passionate and driven Catering & Outlet Sales Manager to join our dynamic sales team. This unique role is responsible for selling and servicing events across all areas of the hotel, including our meeting and event spaces as well as semi private dining and buyouts in our restaurant and bar.

Reporting jointly to the Director of Sales & Marketing and the Director of Group & Catering Sales, this position plays a key role in driving revenue, optimizing space utilization, and building strong relationships with both local partners and organizations hosting meetings and events in Washington, DC.

As Catering & Outlet Sales Manager, you will:

  • Proactively sell and manage private events across meeting spaces and Food & Beverage outlets.
  • Manage the event process end-to-end; from prospecting, contracting, and detailing to on-site handover and follow-up.
  • Achieve assigned revenue targets and contribute to the overall annual catering budget.
  • Maximize utilization of event spaces, ensuring an optimal mix of corporate, group, and social events.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community partners.
  • Conduct regular prospecting activities to generate new leads and grow market share.
  • Collaborate closely with the banquet team, restaurant and bar leadership, and marketing to deliver seamless, memorable event experiences.
  • Provide exceptional service to clients while ensuring alignment with hotel standards and operational capabilities.

About you:

  • Prior experience in food & beverage sales (restaurant, hotel, or event venue) is required; hotel catering sales experience is highly desirable.
  • A strong passion for events and hospitality, with excellent relationship-building and client service skills.
  • Comfortable with prospecting, networking, and engaging with both local businesses and national corporate clients.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with internal teams.
  • Goal-oriented, with a proven ability to achieve revenue and utilization targets.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule based on business demands, including evenings and weekends as needed.
