JKS Restaurants are seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to join their Finance team. 

As we expand our domestic and international presence, we are seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across our finance operations. This role combines hands-on financial control with strategic insights, helping to guide the business through continued growth.

The Role

We are looking for a technically proficient and commercially minded Financial Reporting Manager to oversee financial reporting and accounting for our restaurant portfolio. The role ensures IFRS compliance, audit management, timely monthly consolidated accounts, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

  • Ensure full compliance with IFRS, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including year-end group audits.
  • Deliver monthly consolidated financial reports (P&L, balance sheets, cash flows) for all group entities and subsidiaries.
  • Ensure consistent, accurate recording of financial transactions across the group.
  • Prepare financial statements and statutory accounts, ensuring timely filings with Companies House and HMRC.
  • Work with external tax advisors to prepare all tax workings and filings.
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, manage capital allowances, and ensure accurate tax computations.
  • Own and manage loan schedules, ensuring proper tracking and reporting.

Internal Controls & Compliance:

  • Develop and implement internal control frameworks to ensure financial integrity and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate financial risks, implementing control measures to prevent fraud and errors.
  • Continuously review and update accounting policies to align with best practices and the evolving needs of the business.
  • Audit and Assurance Oversight:
  • Implement and lead internal audits to test the effectiveness of internal controls, identifying areas for improvement and aligning them with external audit
  • expectations.
  • Act as the primary liaison with external auditors, managing audit processes, resolving technical accounting issues, and ensuring timely delivery of audit materials.

Sage Intacct Ownership:

  • Take full ownership of Sage Intacct, ensuring the system supports robust financial controls and accurate, timely reporting.
  • Lead system improvements for better reporting accuracy, automation, and efficiency.

Process Improvement & Risk Management:

  • Enhance finance processes and internal controls to improve efficiency and ensure accuracy.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Research and advise on financial and regulatory implications of international expansion.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate financial risks.

Tax Compliance & Planning:

  • Work with external tax advisors to oversee transfer pricing, VAT, and other tax implications across different jurisdictions.
  • Lead tax planning initiatives, especially related to international expansion, ensuring compliance and tax efficiency.

Ad Hoc Projects:

  • Support strategic finance projects and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, IFRS, tax compliance, and audit management.
  • Extensive experience managing month-end and year-end closing processes, preparing statutory and consolidated accounts, and handling balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Strong expertise in Sage Intacct or similar financial systems, including optimisation and automation.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience in hospitality or F&B is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency.
