The George is a grade II listed building in the heart of Fitzrovia, dating back to 1738. Situated over three floors, an intensive renovation has seen the ground floor pub restored to its former glory with cask ales, craft beers, seasonal cocktails and wines on tap.

The group operates three of the most revered pubs in the UK —The George in Fitzrovia, The Cadogan Arms in Chelsea and The Hound in Chiswick. All of the pubs have garnered critical acclaim, with The Cadogan Arms ranking 40th on the 2024 Top 50 Gastropubs list, The George debuting at #91 on the 2024 Top 50-100 Gastropubs list and the group recognised as Food-Led Pub Group of the Year in the recent R200 Awards in November 2024.

The Position

As Floor Supervisor, you be responsible for providing a warm and genuine welcome to our guests, delivering an exceptional standard of service and memorable customer experience, and you will continually lead and inspire the front of house team to do the same.

As Floor Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Welcoming and attending to guests with an exceptional level of care and service, ensuring that they leave with a positive and memorable experience;
• Overseeing the waiting staff to ensure the smooth running of all sections;
• Inspiring, motivating and training waiting staff to deliver the highest levels of service;
• Carrying out all opening and closing procedures.

The successful Floor Supervisor will have:

• Previous experience as a Restaurant Supervisor or Senior Waiter ready to take on more responsibility;
• Warm and welcoming persona, along with a hands-on approach to work and impeccable attention to detail;
• Proven ability to lead, train and inspire a team;
• Passion for hospitality and a good knowledge of food and beverage;

The Group
