BAO Group - Kiosk Supervisor - Shift LeaderKiosk Supervisor - Shift Leader - BAO GroupSalary - up to £15 per hour Schedule - Full Time Experience - Prior experience of kitchen management The main focus of Kiosk Supervisor is leading shifts and being an expert in BAO food quality. This position is highly hands-on and you will need to be actively involved in multiple tasks. As a trusted ally to the manager and a reliable leader of the team, you will not only work tightly with a close-knit team, but also assist the manager with the daily operations of the Kiosk Kitchen to ensure that all kitchen cleanliness and operational standards are consistently met. You may be required to be flexible with your schedule, including evenings and weekends. The Kiosk KitchenBAO came to Market Halls with BAO Night Market, with lots of stainless steel in the design, which is inspired by "the grab-and-go spirit of Taiwan’s bustling night markets". Here, we are still concentrating on our bao buns, but those will be a little different. The menu will also feature Taiwanese fried chicken with slaw and hot sauce as well as fries with curry sauce and chilli crisp. Rounding everything up, we have Taiwanese bubble tea and peanut milk soft serve. This position involves managing the day-to-day operations of the kiosk kitchen and ensuring profitability, compliance with BAO standards especially in terms of food safety, quality and consistency, assisting in training and recruiting, and actively contributing to and participating in the sustainable development of BAO. Successful managers need to demonstrate a balance of operational, financial, interpersonal, and strategic leadership skills, which is not only skilled in managing the kitchen part but also in aligning work performance with business goals, maintaining the standards, and fostering a positive work environment. Able to foresee potential challenges (e.g., stock levels, equipment malfunctions) and plan accordingly, to strike a balance between being approachable (offering advice and support) and authoritative (maintaining ordered work manner and BAO standards).
Precise attention to every detail, confidence in each food dish prepared and served, through the ability to produce tasty, aesthetically pleasing food and a thorough understanding of the standards and requirements of food preparation in the BAO way.
Inventory handling procedures are mastered in accordance with the FIFO methodology, tracking food waste, championing the best practice for BAO Sustainability and efforts are focused on achieving low waste.
