Our newly built care home is based in the charming suburb of Pinhoe, Exeter. We offer exceptional standards of Nursing, Residential, Dementia and Respite care for 67 residents.

We are looking for a dedicated Residential Unit Manager to lead our care team with passion, empathy, and professionalism. If you have the experience and drive to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership – Lead and support a team of carers to ensure outstanding care is delivered to all residents.
  • Resident Wellbeing – Ensure residents’ physical, emotional, and social needs are met with compassion and respect.
  • Compliance & Best Practice – Maintain the highest standards of care, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
  • Staff Development – Mentor and support your team, ensuring they have the training and guidance needed to excel in their roles.
  • Person-Centred Care – Ensure all care plans are tailored to individual residents, promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
  • Support Management – Work closely with the Home Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations within the care home.

What We’re Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care – Essential for this role.
  • Experience in Elderly Care – Previous experience working in a residential care setting is required.
  • Leadership Skills – You have experience in supervising staff and leading a team effectively.
  • Strong Communication – Ability to liaise with residents, families, and colleagues professionally and empathetically.
  • Passion for Care – A genuine desire to improve the lives of residents and support them to live with dignity.
  • Organisational Abilities – Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
