Laundry Assistant

Dalgety Bay Care Home is a luxury, purpose built care home in a beautiful coastal location, offering exceptional Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care. With first class facilities and a supportive team environment, our home is a welcoming place where residents feel truly looked after.

We are now looking for a reliable and detail focused Laundry Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will help ensure that residents’ personal clothing and linens are clean, fresh and well cared for — a small but vital part of helping people feel dignified, respected and at home.

What we offer:

• £12.21 per hour
• 20 contracted hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension scheme, free uniform and onsite parking
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Your role:
As a Laundry Assistant, you will play an important part in the daily rhythm of the home. You will take responsibility for the washing, drying, ironing and organising of all laundry, ensuring that residents’ clothing is treated with care and returned promptly.

From labelling garments and handling linen with care, to ensuring all laundry areas are kept clean and safe, your attention to detail and calm approach will make a real difference. You will also work closely with the wider team to maintain high hygiene standards and support the overall running of the home.

What we are looking for:
You should be organised, practical and take pride in your work. Previous experience in a laundry or domestic role is helpful, but not essential — full training will be provided. Most importantly, you will be someone who values dignity, pays attention to detail and wants to be part of a team that puts residents first.
