Location Manager - Specified Purpose Contract, Full-Time 1.00 WTE – Fairview, Dublin 3

This service supports four men in our living options model. The Location Manager, along with the team, will support the men to shape their own lives in line with their will and preference in their home and in their community. The Location Manager provides direct support to the people supported while also having overall management of the team in this part of the service.

Community integration and involvement is a key component of this service model and the aim is to build capacity and support interdependence. The successful candidate will pursue initiatives which seek out each person’s will and preference with a focus on personal development and meaningful community involvement, within the context of the quality of life model.

The Location Manager will be responsible for roster administration and related responsibilities such as leave and payroll submissions. Location managers will support high quality service delivery through day to day management, induction, probation, leadership and coaching. The location manager will be solution orientated and promote a culture which works in partnership with the people we support to build a life reflective of their individual hopes and aspirations.
The successful candidate will report to the Regional Manager and will work as an integral part of the regional team. This post will report into a Person in Charge (PIC).

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

Essential Qualifications for this post:

  • Third level Qualification in Social Care or a related discipline
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and use of internet and email
  • Hold a valid driver’s licence
  • You must be eligible for CORU Registration

Desirable Qualifications for this post:

  • Management Qualification

Essential Experience for this post:

  • Three years recent experience in the social care/disability sector
  • Experience managing staff and possess the confidence to resolve issues as they arise at local level
  • Experience managing and adhering to budgets as agreed by the Finance Dept.
  • Manage the rolling rosters and allocate staff as per service needs or requirements
  • Ability to support and drive change management
  • Confidence and experience negotiating and liaising with external stakeholders

Desirable Experience for this post:

  • A knowledge of the HIQA standards
  • Experience of applying the National Standards for Residential Services for Children and Adults with Disabilities, Trust in Care and Adult Safeguarding
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Have knowledge and experience supporting Autistic people and/or those with Intellectual Disability.

Salary Scale:

  • Successful candidates will be paid in line with 2016 HSE revised consolidated Grade V Clerical pay scale point 1; €40,209 – 2nd LSI; € 48,496 per annum based on working a 39-hour week.
  • The residential rosters will include overnights for which an additional allowance is paid.
  • There are 27 days/210.6 hours annual leave with this post.

Terms and Conditions:

  • The successful post holder will also be eligible for additional remuneration in addition to the aforementioned salary, point 1; €2,449 – LSI €3,121 per annum as per the phased pay restoration process between Section 39 Agencies and the Department of Health.
  • Hours of work are 39 hours per week with a high degree of flexibility built in to facilitate service needs. Details will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidates.
