Struan Lodge Care Home is a purpose built 30 bed care home in the Balgreen area of Edinburgh, providing Nursing, Dementia and Palliative care. The home offers a quiet, homely setting with a close knit team, allowing staff to build meaningful relationships and deliver individualised, person centred care every day.
Registered Nurse – Nightshift
- £21.32 per hour
- 36 hours per week
- Paid breaks, Paid NMC registration
- Pension, Paid PVG, Uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full time contract
Role Overview
As a Registered Nurse, you will take clinical responsibility for the home during night shifts, ensuring residents receive safe, effective and person centred care in a calm and reassuring environment.
Working within a smaller, close knit team, you will have the time to deliver high quality care while building strong, meaningful relationships with residents. You will lead the care team overnight, providing guidance and support while maintaining high clinical standards.
You will administer medication, carry out clinical assessments, monitor residents’ health and respond promptly to any changes in condition. You will also ensure accurate documentation, support clear communication and liaise with on call professionals where required. Your calm and professional approach will help create a safe, stable and supportive environment throughout the night.
What We Are Looking For
- Registered General Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse with an active NMC PIN
- Previous care home experience is desirable but not essential
- Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail
- Ability to lead and support a team confidently
- Calm, compassionate and professional approach
