Our care home provides specialist support for 75-residents with dementia and mental health problems.

Are you ready to dive into the world of finance and gain experience across all departments within our organization?
As a Finance Assistant, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial health, ensuring that our resources are used efficiently. You'll have the unique opportunity to manage finances throughout the development stages of a care home property, right up until it begins operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Invoice Processing: Manage invoice processing and follow up with clients, suppliers, and partners as needed, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Bookkeeping: Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payment processing with diligence.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Track and reconcile bank statements to ensure our financial records are precise and up to date.
  • Cost Analysis: Prepare cost analysis reports that provide valuable insights into our financial operations.
  • Budget Support: Provide vital administrative support during budget preparation, helping us plan.
  • Audit Participation: Play a key role in annual audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy in our financial practices.
  • Project Cost Management: Keep our project cost trackers updated and accurate, ensuring all financial aspects are accounted for.
  • Funding & Accounts: Assist in funding drawdowns and the preparation of management accounts, contributing to the financial foundation of new projects.

What We’re Looking For

  • Data Entry Expertise: You have fast and accurate data entry skills that ensure no detail is overlooked.
  • Software Savvy: Working knowledge of Xero is a plus, though not essential. Strong IT skills, especially in Excel, are a must.
  • Organisational Prowess: Highly organized and a 'completer-finisher,' you see tasks through to the end with precision.
  • Numerical Strength: Your strong numerical skills make you an asset in managing our financial data.
  • Problem Solver: You take initiative, solve problems independently, and assume responsibility with confidence.
  • Team Player: You believe in teamwork, be respectful to other team members, and support other team members as and when they need help.
