Cedar Lodge Care Home is a well established service in Taunton, Somerset, providing specialist dementia, palliative and respite care for up to 39 residents, alongside The Limes, a dedicated mental health community supporting a further 15 individuals. Set in a peaceful location, the home offers a welcoming, supportive environment with a strong focus on personalised care, dignity and wellbeing across both services.

  • £12.71 per hour
  • 40 hours per week
  • Day shift, 8am–4pm, alternate weekends
  • Pension, Paid DBS, Uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)

Role Overview
As a Housekeeper, you will play a key role in creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming home for our residents. You will maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home, ensuring all areas are tidy, hygienic, and welcoming.

In addition to general housekeeping duties, you will help care for residents’ laundry, ensuring clothes and linens are clean, well-presented, and returned promptly. Working closely with the care and domestic team, you will support the smooth running of the home and contribute to a positive, uplifting environment where residents feel valued, comfortable, and at ease.

Your work will directly impact residents’ quality of life, helping to make each day calm, safe, and homely. This role is perfect for someone organised, reliable, and motivated to make a difference in people’s lives.

What We’re Looking For

  •  Previous housekeeping, domestic, or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
  •  Understanding of hygiene and infection prevention standards
  •  Strong communication and teamwork skills
  •  Reliable, compassionate, and professional approach
