Glencorse Care Home is a purpose built care home located in Penicuik, providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 54 residents. With a strong focus on teamwork and high standards of care, the home offers a supportive environment where staff can develop their skills and make a meaningful difference every day.
Registered Nurse – Dayshift
- £22.88 per hour
- Full time, dayshift
- Pension, Paid PVG, Uniform provided, Onsite parking
- 5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full time contract
Role Overview
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering safe, effective and person centred clinical care, ensuring residents’ wellbeing, dignity and comfort are always prioritised. You will be responsible for assessing needs, developing and reviewing care plans, administering medication safely and maintaining accurate, compliant clinical records.
Working as a visible leader on shift, you will guide and support the care team, ensuring high standards of care are consistently maintained. You will oversee clinical practice, monitor residents’ health, respond to changes in condition and ensure timely, appropriate interventions are in place.
You will build strong, trusting relationships with residents and their families, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring clear, compassionate communication at all times. Working collaboratively with external healthcare professionals, you will support continuity of care and contribute to positive outcomes for residents.
Your role will also involve promoting best practice, supporting team development and contributing to a calm, safe and professional environment where both residents and colleagues feel supported.
What We Are Looking For
- Registered General Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse with an active NMC PIN
- Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to high standards of care
- Experience within a care home or similar setting is desirable but not essential
- Ability to lead, support and develop a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, professional and resident focused approach
