Make a Home Feel Like Home – Join Us as a Housekeeping & Laundry Assistant at Etive House Care Home

At Etive House Care Home, we believe that a clean, safe, and welcoming environment is just as important as the care we provide. Located in the scenic village of Benderloch by Oban, our home supports up to 62 residents with warmth, dignity, and respect and we’re looking for someone who takes real pride in the details to join us.

If you love the satisfaction of a freshly made room, the smell of clean laundry, and the sparkle of a well-kept space, this could be your perfect role.

What We Offer:

  • £12.21 per hour
  • Full-time or part-time hours available (16–40 hours per week)
  • Day shifts only – no late nights
  • Paid PVG, free uniform, and onsite parking
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro rata)
  • A friendly, supportive team where your work is noticed and valued

Your Role:
As our new Housekeeping & Laundry Assistant, you’ll be a vital part of the team that helps Etive House feel like home. From sparkling bedrooms to fresh linens, you’ll ensure everything is clean, comfortable, and cared for, just like our residents.

You’ll split your time between general housekeeping duties and supporting our laundry service, ensuring that personal items are returned fresh, folded, and labelled with care. You’ll also help residents settle in and feel at ease by maintaining a calm and homely atmosphere.

This isn’t just about cleaning, it’s about dignity, pride, and making a difference.

What You’ll Do:

  • Keep our home spotless – including bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and fixtures
  • Handle all laundry tasks – from collecting and washing to drying, folding, and returning items correctly
  • Ensure residents’ clothing and linen are treated respectfully and always labelled appropriately
  • Manage waste and hygiene standards in line with infection prevention and health and safety guidance
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to keep our environment safe, clean, and welcoming
  • Offer a kind word or smile – you’ll be part of the fabric of our residents’ daily lives

What We’re Looking For:

  • A strong eye for detail and a love of keeping things clean and tidy
  • The ability to follow systems and procedures to keep residents safe
  • A team player who understands the importance of their role in the bigger picture
  • A warm, friendly approach and a natural desire to help
  • Flexibility to cover both housekeeping and laundry duties as required

At Etive House, every role matters. Whether you’re making a bed, folding a cardigan, or chatting to a resident as you work, you’re part of something bigger – a home that’s filled with care, comfort, and community.

About us:
Etive House is part of Care Concern Group, a family-owned provider with over 100 care homes across the UK. We’re expanding rapidly and are committed to delivering high-quality care and support to our residents. If you’re ready to take on a rewarding role in a growing and supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you.
We believe in delivering care to the highest standard, and our five core values guide everything we do:
Trust | Respect | Passion | Kindness | Inclusivity
These values define who we are and underpin everything we do, from the smallest interaction to the most complex care. If you live by these principles, this is a place where you can belong and truly make a difference.

Apply today and be part of a team that takes pride in creating spaces that feel just like home.
