Care and Support - Craighead Care Home

Contract: Full Time
Salary: £12.70 Per Hour
Shift type: Sunrise
Contracted hours: 16 -20

Start the Day with Purpose – Join Our Dawn Care Team at Craighead Care Home

Situated in the scenic town of Newport on Tay, Craighead Care Home provides exceptional Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 56 residents. With a supportive team and a welcoming environment, our home is a place where every day begins with kindness and care.

We are now looking for a committed and compassionate Care Assistant to join our dawn shift team, working from 6 AM to 10 AM. If you are an early riser who enjoys making a difference and wants to be part of a close knit care team, this role could be perfect for you.

What we offer:

  • £12.70 per hour
  • Contracted to 16 or 20 hours per week
  • Paid PVG, pension scheme, free uniform and onsite parking
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
  • A warm and supportive working environment with full training provided

Your role:
As a Care Assistant on our dawn shift, you will support residents with their morning routines, helping them start the day with dignity, comfort and confidence. From assisting with washing and dressing to supporting safe mobility and breakfast time, your care will set the tone for a positive day ahead.

You will work closely with colleagues to deliver personalised care, maintain a safe and comfortable environment, and ensure that each resident feels valued and respected in every interaction.

What we are looking for:
We welcome candidates with an SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, though this is not essential. Ideally, you will have at least six months of experience as a Care Assistant, but we are equally open to those with transferable skills and a genuine passion for supporting older people. Most importantly, you will bring warmth, reliability and a team-focused approach to everything you do.

About us:
Craighead Care Home is part of Belsize Healthcare, a market leading, family owned care group with over 100 homes across the United Kingdom. We are proud to provide outstanding care in well maintained, purpose built homes, while offering a rewarding and supportive environment for our teams.
