  • Meticulous - able to gage detail from our guests and equally able to record and present information to all parties meticulously
  • Previous experience in a similar role, or Sales in a luxury environment is an advantage
  • Articulate in spoken and written English as well as be computer literate and familiar with Opera, Adeco and Microsoft Excel

Your responsibilities

  • Assist the DOS in organizing and hosting networking events, site visits and FAM trips.
  • Work closely alongside the DOS and Director of Marketing & Communications and communicate effectively to ensure smooth running of the sales and marketing function.
  • Work with marketing department to ensure effective use of the hotel’s assets when the sales team present externally, adapting to the client’s schedule and time available for presenting.
  • Assist the DOS in planning sales trips, including appointment scheduling.
  • Follow up on sales enquiries and identify business development opportunities for the Hotel and follow up to build an account portfolio.
  • Handle all sales enquiries in a polite and professional manner, according to One Aldwych standards, ensuring enquiries are responded to in a prompt and professional manner, with appropriate actioned carried out.
  • Issue contracts where necessary and send to DOS for review prior to sending to clients for signature.
  • Work with Revenue to ensure any new FIT rates for subsequent contract years are prepared in time for contract renewals.
  • Knowledge of Opera PMS/Sales & Catering is beneficial
  • Use Salesforce effectively as a CRM tool, keeping record of account activity and setting future activities for the role and for that of the DOS where required.
  • Maintain records in Salesforce, entering activities, leads and updating activities with results/outcomes and ensuring data is accurate.
  • Update Salesforce with regular updates from our US representation
  • Prepare Salesforce reports for monthly sales meetings.
  • Ensure stock of sales giveaways and gifts are at a satisfactory level. with assistance from the DOS and marketing as and when necessary.
  • On a weekly basis, share all sales appointments with the FOH team to update the daily briefing sheet. Highlight those of significant importance.
  • Ensure that special recognition reservations which come direct through the sales department are communicated to the operations and reservations team using effective communication with meticulous attention to detail in all bookings.
  • Ensure effective communication with FOH teams to maintain an accurate database, with any guest preferences input into Opera PMS.
  • Input new trade data into Salesforce when received from the Reservations, DOS and US Sales representation.
