Are you an experienced logistics professional with a passion for driving and ensuring smooth operations? We’re looking for a Logistics Assistant & Driver to join our busy team at Din Tai Fung's Central Kitchen Unit in Lower Sydenham. As a Logistics Assistant & Driver, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries, managing inventory, and supporting the logistics operations across our sites in Central London.

What We Offer

Competitive Pay: £13.50 - £14.50 per hour including service charge.

Working Hours: 45 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday (08:30-18:30). Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required

Location: South London, conveniently located near Lower Sydenham Station (SE26). Travel will be necessary for deliveries between our locations

Key Responsibilities:

As a Logistics Assistant & Driver, you will be responsible for a variety of key tasks related to logistics coordination and driving:

• Assist in planning and coordinating logistics operations for timely deliveries and stock management.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support stocktaking efforts.
• Prepare shipping and receiving documentation for deliveries and shipments.
• Ensure goods are properly labeled, packaged, and handled.
• Safely operate company vehicles for transporting goods to various locations.
• Assist with loading/unloading goods and ensure deliveries are documented accurately.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any issues or damages.
• Manage routes efficiently for timely deliveries and optimal fuel usage.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries or pickups.

Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in the Logistics Assistant & Driver role, we are looking for candidates with the following:

• Experience: Prior experience in logistics, warehouse, or delivery operations is highly advantageous. Experience as a 3.5-ton van driver is preferred.
• Licensing: A valid UK Full driving licence (Category B) and a clean driving record.
• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of logistics software or tracking systems is a plus. Proficiency in using mobile apps for navigation is also beneficial.
• Personal Qualities:
• Ability to lift heavy iteams and perform tasks like loading/unloading goods.
