Wentworth Club is one of the world’s finest private members Golf and Country Clubs, famous for its outstanding three Championship golf courses, in addition to a luxury Tennis & Health Club. The Club is surrounded and entwined within the Wentworth Estate, one of the most prestigious private estates in the London suburbs where many of the world’s premier golfers have their home.

Wentworth Club is seeking to appoint a Club Events Manager who will be responsible for enhancing Member engagement and satifaction through meticulously planned and executed events. This role is pivotal in creating memorable experiences for our Members across a variety of different occasions.

The Club Events Manager will be highly visible to the Club Members with a focus on building relationships and anticipating Memeber needs.

To ensure the smooth and efficient execution and operation of all events held at Wentworth Club in conjunction with the Food & Beverage department. Events include but are not limited to, the Annual Club Life Events Calendar, corporate, private and golf events for Members and their guests.

Key Responsibilites

Event Planning and Execution:

  • Design, plan, and execute a diverse range of events tailored to the interests and preferences of Club Members.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless event execution, including dining, golf, tennis, and other recreational services.
  • Manage all aspects of event logistics, including budgeting, supplier coordination, and timeline management.

Member Engagement:

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance member engagement and satisfaction through events.
  • Regularly assess member feedback and adjust event offerings to meet evolving interests and needs.
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere at all events, promoting member interaction and community.

Marketing and Communication:

  • Develop promotional materials and communication strategies working closing with the Marketing team to effectively market events to Members.
  • Maintain a calendar of events and ensure timely and accurate communication to members.

Supplier and Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, sponsors, and community partners to enhance event quality and Member experience.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage supplier agreements to ensure cost-effective and high-quality services.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring financial efficiency and adherence to the club’s financial goals.
  • Monitor and report on event expenditures and revenues, identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.

 


Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event planning and management, preferably in a club, hospitality, or high-end environment.
  • Proven track record of creating and executing successful events that enhance member satisfaction and engagement.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a member-centric approach.
  • Must be able to handle diverse viewpoints and difficult situations by exercising discretion and tactful responses.
  • Ability to drive revenue.
  • The ability to make decisions and solve problems involving varied levels of complexity, ambiguity, and risk.
  • Able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders across the Club.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Demonstrate great teamwork.
  • Flexible and adaptable to the changing demands of the business.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to spot and correct errors
