Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic team member to drive our Goods In Control operations at Stock Exchange Hotel.

As our Goods Controller, you will play a pivotal role in calculating the costs associated with our food and beverage inventory. You'll also be instrumental in both short and long-term planning initiatives concerning F&B controlling and pricing strategies.

In collaboration with the Head Chef and Restaurant Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of Goods-In and uphold rigorous quality control standards critical for departmental efficiency. This entails maintaining detailed digital records of our inventory, orchestrating the smooth movement of goods throughout designated areas within the hotel, and collaborating closely with the Finance Controller to optimise cost management and procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing and Documentation: Handle the processing of delivery notes, ensuring accurate matching with purchase orders. Upload all delivery notes onto Procure Wizard, including non-Procure Wizard orders.
  • Financial Support: Assist the Finance Team in maintaining the Procure Wizard Accounting system, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Inventory Management: Record all F&B wastage and inter-department transfers on Procure Wizard daily. Conduct weekly price checks on Procure Wizard to ensure optimal purchasing decisions.
  • Quality Control: Perform daily receipt and quality control checks on all deliveries, maintaining high standards for both food and non-food items. Ensure deliveries are promptly assigned to relevant departments and maintain clear fire exits.
  • Maintenance Duties: Conduct weekly cleanings and recordings for the beer line, ice machine, and bar area. Collaborate with the F&B Team to manage bar orders efficiently, avoiding over or under ordering.
  • Cellar Management: Maintain the cellar in an organized and tidy manner, setting up par stock levels and ensuring orders align. Securely manage kegs and gases in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Administration: Assist with preparation for monthly stock counts and ensure accurate recording of all goods issued and received. Maintain meticulous filing systems, both electronically and manually.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Coordinate with the hotel team to address any inbound supply chain issues promptly. Work closely with the management team to implement effective processes and ensure adherence to health and safety legislation.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with the team and other departments.
  • A reasonable level of physical fitness to sustain performance during prolonged periods of activity.
  • Proficiency in completing record sheets and paperwork accurately.
  • Basic proficiency in English and Mathematics.
