About the Role

We’re on the lookout for a friendly, experienced Front of House Manager to join our team at our busy gastro pub. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help keep things running smoothly day to day—whether that’s making sure service flows, keeping customers happy, or supporting our great team behind the scenes.
You don’t need to have worked in a gastro pub before, but you’ll need to have solid hospitality experience, a love for good food and drink, and a natural way with people.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Running the Show: Oversee daily service, making sure everything from welcoming guests to getting food out of the kitchen happens smoothly and efficiently.
• Team Support: Lead, train and support a fantastic front-of-house team. Help with rotas, encourage great service, and keep morale high.
• Customer Experience: Be present on the floor, chat with guests, and sort out any issues with a smile. Our aim is to make every visit a great one.
• Behind-the-Scenes Know-How: Keep an eye on the numbers—helping with budgets, reports, and making sure we’re running things cost-effectively without cutting corners.
• Menu Collaboration: Work alongside the kitchen team to help shape and refresh our food offering—seasonal, local, and something to shout about.
• Staying Compliant: Help keep the pub clean, safe and fully up to scratch when it comes to health, safety, and licensing.
• Spreading the Word: Pitch in with ideas to bring people through the door—whether that’s events, offers, or a bit of buzz on social media.

What We’re Looking For

• Someone who leads by example and enjoys building a happy, hard-working team
• Great communicator who’s comfortable with customers, staff, and suppliers alike
• Well-organised and good at juggling a few things at once
• Confident working with budgets and keeping things financially on track
• A genuine passion for great hospitality and creating memorable experiences
• Previous experience in a similar role—ideally in a busy pub, bar, or restaurant
