General Manager - New Opening

£40,000 - £45,000 per annum

The completion of the deal saw Company of Cooks become the group’s go-to operators in heritage and performance venues, art galleries and destinations. We are excited to be recruiting for a General Manager tto work with us on a brand new opening based in Hoxton. 

About the role:

We have a brand new site opening that will accommodate breakfast and lunch cafe style bookings throughout the day before serving small plates and drinks into the evening until 11pm. The restaurant will seat 120 covers. The position will involve working a 5 over 7 shift pattern.

Key responsibilities
• Lead on opening this brand-new venue for Company of Cooks
• Managing and leading a team of 20-25
• Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, rotas, inventory management, and customer service
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize sales, increase profitability, and enhance the overall dining experience.
• Monitor financial performance, budget management, forecasting with regular reports
• Experience with events particularly weddings is preferred but not essential

Our Ideal Candidate:
• Proven experience as a General Manager or similar role in the restaurant industry for 2-3 years
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
• Strong business acumen with a track record of driving sales and achieving financial targets
• Experience managing turnovers of £1.2million+
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for fresh food and excellent hospitality
• Knowledge of local regulations and compliance standards
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
