Role: Senior Press Brake Operator
Location: Colwick, Nottingham
Hours: 50 hours a week, 06:00am - 16:00pm Monday to Friday, paid breaks.
You must have the right to work in the UK, Face to Face interviews will be held on site.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating a hydraulic press brake to bend, form, and shape sheet metal into various parts.
Duties:
- Set up and operate a press brake machine to bend sheet metal according to blueprints or work orders
- Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy of bends and dimensions
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Work with various hand tools to fabricate, weld, grind, and assemble parts
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with the equipment
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during operations
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role
- Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring devices
- Strong understanding of basic math for measurements and calculations
- Ability to weld, fabricate, grind, assemble, and work with sheet metal
- Familiarity with tooling setups for different bending operations
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting machinery issues
