The Wonderfield Group has recently been purchased by Zensho Holdings, the leading food service company in Japan with a market cap of $5.5b and whose aim is to become the worlds largest food company, a position from which we can eradicate hunger and poverty from around the globe. We operate restaurants, factories, and thousands of sushi kiosks and have recently built a successful cut fruit business, Snowfruit. Combining this with the three businesses previously owned by Zensho, AFC, Sushi Circle and Sushi Take, results in annual sales of $2.5b and Ebitda in excess of $140m a year with an ambitious growth trajectory.
Person Specification
Essential:
• Project Management experience: either leading or having worked on a number of projects
• Proactive, positive attitude and delivery focused
• Track record of delivering business change to achieve outcomes and benefits
• Experience of working with a variety of delivery methodologies including waterfall/Agile/hybrid/CI
• Strong focus on effective and engaging change management, and exposure to formalised change and project methodologies
• Strong team facilitation skills - able to manage and motivate people at all levels in the organisation
• Remains calm during periods of pressure and / or when dealing with issues
• Naturally curious about acquiring new knowledge and best practice
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Strong interpersonal & relationship building skills, able to work across functions, geographies and cultures
• Able to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels of the business and to various stakeholder groups, both in writing and verbally
• Ability to challenge constructively, build credibility and work with integrity at all levels within the organisation
• Fluent in both verbal and written English
Desirable:
• Experience of working in a complex, international project environment
• Experience working in a software delivery environment
• Certified Project Management qualifications e.g. APM, Prince 2, MSP, Agile
• Experience of negotiating working with 3rd parties
1. Job Purpose
Wonderfield Group has an ambitious 5-year strategy to double system sales enabled by creating competitive advantage through investments in systems and leveraging data – this is under-pinned by a roadmap of change initiatives.
You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of small and medium-sized initiatives including upgrades of a ERP system, CRM and data initiatives, the role includes supporting the (CM/PM role) with delivery of projects and owning smaller initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone who has had expose to projects and would like to develop their skills and support with establishing best practice.
2. Key Accountabilities
• Responsible for the end-to-end reporting and consolidation or project during (planning, delivery, monitoring, control and closure) with focus on business change – reporting risk of delivery to agreed scope, time, cost, quality and benefits.
• Provide guidance to, and facilitate the work of, cross-functional project teams. Ensure team members remain motivated and committed to the project objectives whilst balancing the demands of any Business As Usual (BAU) commitments.
• Agree the appropriate governance approach and ensure it is applied to the project. Plan and schedule quality reviews, ensuring the relevant people attend, project deliverables are produced on time to the required standard, and any corrective actions addressed.
• Support building a Resource Plan which demonstrates the commitment required from business resources balanced with safe guarding BAU.
• Support the development of project costs/benefits, benefits realisation plans and Investment Proposals with the project and finance lead.
• Where required, facilitate making trade off decisions within the project between quality, costs, scope and time. Ensure any significant changes are subject to the change management process.
• Identify and support the management of inter-project dependencies, ensuring visibility, with plans to resolve, and managed through with all relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure all risks and issues are collected, analysed, and where necessary mitigated or escalated.
• Engage fully with the relevant project Sponsor and Business Owner. Influence and manage stakeholder expectations by monitoring progress against the plan and issuing regular communications, escalating problems and issues that impact scope, time, cost, quality and benefits in a timely manner.
• Build rapport with external delivery partners and contractors.
3. Organisation Chart & People Responsibility
The role has no direct line management of people but will be expected to build strong working relationship with senior leaders, project members and end users, across different functions and geographies to successfully deliver the changes required to realise benefits.
4. Scope of the Role
The role is UK based with some work with Global teams and will be responsible for delivering and supporting small to medium-sized projects, across multiple Business functions.
