Night Shift Production Manager

Taiko - founded in 1997, Taiko was the first sushi manufacturer for UK supermarkets and has evolved into a highly innovative manufacturer of sushi, bentos and snacks in the UK

As the Production Supervisors you will lead, motivate and monitor Production supervisors and Production Operatives, and set and maintain site standards in terms of behaviour, attitude towards set KPI of quality, safety, performance and people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading a team of up to 17 production operatives and deliver production output to meet the required daily plan.
• Create and monitor effective and efficient production plans, including co-ordinating the activities of operators to ensure the most cost-effective and efficient use of labour.
• To ensure & encourage the accurate recording of all damage to building or equipment in a timely manner.
• Attend monthly H & S Committee Meeting’s (When on the appropriate shift)
• Carry out monthly H & S staff briefings based on issues or accidents
• Accident Reporting – Ensure that all accidents/near miss forms are completed properly and that accident analysis forms are completed (Appropriate evidence needs to be gathered at the time of the incident)
• Ensure that all appropriate & relevant H & S practices are being followed by team members. i.e. wearing of appropriate P.P.E
• Changes made to line layouts/configurations need to be Re-Risk Assessed prior to their use.

Key Requirements:

• Food production experience – ideally food on go product experience.
• Must have managed a team and be able to demonstrate production process and people development success in a prior role.
• Relevant academic achievements either through higher education or through vocational learning and development in areas such as Leadership / Management skills, Food Safety, HACCP, Health & Safety.

This role will be covering Tuesday - Saturday.
