Situated on the east bank of the Thames, the four-star New Providence Wharf hotel is a modern luxury retreat near the world-famous O2 Arena, and just 20 minutes from the ExCel Centre and London City Airport.

We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven, and service-focused Leisure Club Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hotel's leisure club. In this role, you will manage the leisure team, drive membership growth, ensure high facility standards, and deliver an outstanding wellness experience for guests and members.

We are committed to providing a high-quality fitness and wellness experience. As a Leisure Club Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the leisure club, including staff leadership, membership engagement, financial performance, and ensuring excellent service delivery.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the leisure club, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for guests and members.
  • Leading, training, and motivating the leisure team to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Driving membership sales and retention through effective marketing and engagement strategies.
  • Managing budgets, revenue targets, and financial performance of the leisure club.
  • Ensuring all leisure facilities, including the gym, pool, and wellness areas, are well-maintained and meet health and safety standards.
  • Developing and implementing fitness and wellness programs to enhance the member experience.
  • Liaising with the hotel management team to align leisure services with the hotel’s overall guest experience.
  • Monitoring customer feedback and implementing improvements to enhance service quality.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including risk assessments and staff training.
  • Handling any guest or member concerns professionally and ensuring prompt resolution.
  • The ideal person for this role will be enthusiastic about change, focused on details, and trusting.

The core skills and experience required to succeed:

  • Previous experience in a leisure club, fitness center, or spa management role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Proven track record of driving membership growth and achieving revenue targets.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage with members and guests.
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations within a leisure or wellness environment.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and revenue management.
  • Proficiency in using leisure management software and Microsoft Office.
  • A flexible approach to work, with availability for evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • A recognized qualification in fitness, leisure management, or a related field is desirable.
