IDS is a leading in-vitro diagnostic solution provider to the clinical laboratory market. We develop, manufacture and market innovative immunoassays and automated immunoanalyser technologies to provide improved diagnostic outcomes for patients.

IDS Boldon is the global IDS Headquarters occupying a single, multi-disciplined site.

The site focuses on the manufacture and distribution of manual Immunoassay products. On site Purchasing, Logistics, Production, Quality Control and Process Development departments manage the supply chain, supported by local Sales Support, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs and Finance departments. As Group Headquarters, IDS Boldon also houses all head office functions.

Join IDS as a Group Finance Manager and take on an exciting role within a dynamic, fast-paced company. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an international team in a varied role, compiling month-end reviews and IFRS/US GAAP adjustments across our group accounts, managing consolidated balance sheets and intercompany reconciliations. You’ll play a critical part in driving financial accuracy, managing payroll, capex, and group recharges, while also contributing to audits, tax reporting, and strategic budgeting. Key Responsibilities:
Month-End: Review entity accounts, comparing actuals vs. budget and prior year performance, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
IFRS & US GAAP Adjustments: Take charge of processing adjustments and aligning them with international and US accounting standards.
Intercompany Balances: Own the reconciliation of intercompany balances and management charges across the group to ensure smooth, accurate operations.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and upload the month-end financial file to Revvity, ensuring all necessary adjustments are made.
Comprehensive Reporting: Complete key month-end reports, covering Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable, Lease Accounting, and Intergroup Balances.
Balance Sheet Reviews: Conduct monthly consolidated Balance Sheet Reviews and present quarterly updates to Revvity’s leadership team.
Group Recharges: Take responsibility for calculating IDS Group recharges, including management costs, audit fees, and insurance allocations.
Payroll Reconciliation: Reconcile payroll against budget for all entities, ensuring no surprises!
Capex Tracking: Track and report monthly capital expenditure against the budget to keep the business on course.
Tax Dashboards: Reconcile tax payments, accruals, and year-end adjustments with the monthly Tax Dashboard, posting accruals where needed.


Additional Responsibilities:
Audit Support: Assist the annual audit by providing documentation and support for Group calculations.
Transfer Pricing: Complete annual Transfer Pricing calculations, ensuring compliance with benchmarking studies for each entity.
Forecasting: Provide quarterly local PBT forecasts to align with US GAAP requirements.
Bonus Accrual Management: Ensure bonus accruals match the budget and provide clear explanations for any variances.
UK Payroll Sign-off: Offer a second sign-off for UK payroll, ensuring accuracy in payments and changes.
Payment Approval: Approve payment runs and handle ad hoc payments for IDS Ltd as required.
Budget Preparation: Support the annual budget preparation process for IDS Group, playing a key role in shaping financial planning.

 

 

Qualifications

Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA or CIMA

Skills & Knowledge

• Understanding of consolidation accounting including overseas territories
• Logical / rigorous approach
• Attention to detail
• Strong Excel skills
• Organisational skills – able to juggle several tasks at the same time and prioritise effectively

Experience

• Experience of US GAAP reporting (nice to have)
• Practical consolidation experience (nice to have)
• Knowledge of month end procedures is essential
• Accounts preparation and variance analysis
